A Technical Retreat in Beautiful Scotland

Rails Camp is a different kind of conference: there is no strict schedule or agenda. Rails Camp aims to create a wonderful environment in which people of different backgrounds and experience can get together, discuss, learn, and hack. Rails Camp is a special experience. It's an event detached from your daily environment.

Please join us for Rails Camp Scotland from September 26 until September 29, 2016, for a few days full of great, like–minded people, inspiring conversations, fun hacking, stunning views, laughs, learnings, and delicious, regional food.

The conference will be held at the lovely Comrie Croft, located in Crieff, just outside of Perth, Scotland. Accommodation will be provided. If you wish to camp, please let us know and we'll coordinate with yourself and the venue to ensure everything is arranged.

Please refer to The Guide for more information for those attending Rails Camp Scotland.

We Welcome Everyone

Regardless of your skills and background: we want you there. Who you are, what you do and what you bring to the event doesn’t have to be about Rails or even Ruby! Register now and join us in September.

Rails Camp Scotland will be a conference that adheres to the Conference Code of Conduct. Our email is always open and we will provide further contact details leading up to the conference.

As part of our goal to be as accessible to everyone as possible, we have chosen Comrie Croft for this particular reason. Their Accessibility Statement is available for everyone to read.

We will work with our transportation partners to ensure that everyone is able to be transported safely to the venue. If you are able to assist with accessible transportation, please let us know.

If you require further information, or have any general questions, please do not hesitate to contact us or Comrie Croft directly.

With the help of our sponsors and supporters we are providing a scholarship program to under-represented groups in the community. We have teamed up with Diversity Tickets to help us handle the application and selection process.

Please apply through their website. The applications will be open until September 14th. The scholarship will provide a Regular ticket for the conference.

If you are experiencing issues with the registration widget, please head to our ti.to website.

Would your company be interested in sponsoring Rails Camp Scotland? We'd appreciate the support to make the conference something to remember. Please send a message through and we can arrange a tailor-made sponsorship package. We'd love to hear from you!

If you are an individual who is interested in sponsorship, we highly recommend the Supporter ticket. A donation based ticket, set at a minimum of Β£350.00. We will add your name to the website, along with a link of your choosing.

As a sponsor or an individual supporter, your contribution can be used for the conference or our diversity scholarship program. We will be sure to celebrate all of our sponsors and supporters before, during, and after the conference.

About Rails Camp

Rails Camp first ran in Australia in 2007, organised by the lovely Ben Askins. Now, there are camps throughout the world: from the U.S., to Denmark, Poland, New Zealand, and the UK — but not yet in Scotland.

Rails Camp Scotland has been put together by Dylan Egan and Dylan Fogarty–MacDonald. Feel free to say hello, we'd love to hear from you.
